Grills and smokers combine a cart or base, cooking chamber, shelves, racks and product-specific fuel or power components. The assembly depends on whether the product is gas, charcoal, pellet or electric.
Cart Assembly and Supplied Fuel or Power Components
The support structure should be stable before side shelves, doors or accessory hooks are added. Assembly can include product components supplied for normal setup. Gas-line modification, new electrical work or repair of fuel/power systems is separate. Side burners, fold-down shelves, cabinets, warming racks and pellet hoppers can add separate hardware packs to the same grill. Those pieces should stay grouped with their instructions so a similar-looking fastener from the cart is not used on a heat-exposed component.
The finished unit should also be checked for practical access. Doors, ash pans, grease trays, pellet hoppers or fuel-tank areas need room to open or be removed for normal use.
- Cart/base stands stable.
- Cooking body is secured.
- Shelves/doors/accessories operate.
- Grease/ash access remains usable.
- Fuel/power components are only connected as supplied.
- Final placement meets the product's own clearance guidance.
Weather protection accessories such as fitted covers can be installed or checked as product accessories, but they do not change the need for suitable outdoor placement. A cover is not a substitute for following the product's own exposure and clearance requirements. If the product includes a side burner, rotisserie mount or folding shelf, those accessories should be checked in both the open and stored positions. The grill may fit the patio in its compact state but interfere with a railing or wall once accessories are extended.

Placement & Clearance
The intended outdoor location should follow the product requirements and provide practical space around the assembled unit.
